Don’t have time to go to the gym? No problem! Crank up the radio in the car and dance! In fact, research shows over 50% of your metabolism used each day is due to NEAT: Non exercise activity thermogenisis. In plain English, this means activities you do such as walking, gardening, doing dishes, shopping for groceries, etc. You can increase your “NEAT” energy expenditures by taking the stairs instead of the elevator, tapping your feet, or dancing in the car!

So go ahead and move around throughout the day and have some fun!  From dancing in the car, walking and shopping, doing chores around the house, or taking the dog out for a walk.  And remember, exercising releases serotonin, a neurotransmitter that makes you feel happy.  Get up, move your body, and feel great, all while staying healthy and fit.
